Hey, my name is Óscar Moisés Díaz, but plz kindly refer to me as Moisés al-Hakimiyya. I rarely go by Óscar in my day-to-day. I am an initiate of the Hakimiyya and a direct student of Shaykh A. Ali in the Islamicate Occult Sciences. My title within my Sufi order is that of a Hakim, a sage-physician figure, so I also perform Islamic theurgy for/with clients or prescribe it, including everything from talisman-making, ruqyah, prayers, and remedies, etc. I’m very blessed to be in my 6th year as a full-time consulting practice and, at this point, being sustained almost entirely by repeat clients and word-of-mouth referrals. I consult at this point for entire mosques, entire families, entire friend groups, and it’s a real joy to be part of various communities doing this work. I sit across from scientists, farmers, historians, arts workers, perfumers, therapists, you name it, and they come from all over the world.  On any given day, I’m zooming into Taiwan and then Pakistan hours later, and it’s been wonderful to know the world through the privilege of walking alongside folks consistently. In a world full of information, I hope to arrive at wisdom, and that emerges in the back-and-forth with you.

I’m also a poet, film+art curator, artist, and translator. I’m a member of Tierra Narrative Collective and co-founder of Espacio 42-B. I am also the Editor of Poetry in Translation at The Offing.
